Russian, Brtish want to know more about each other's culture

The Russians and the British would like to know more about each other's culture as is clear from the results of a poll conducted in these two countries at the initiative of RIA Novosti.

Nineteen percent of Russians think they receive less information about the cultural life of Britain than they would like to. Among other themes the Russians are concerned about are science, technology, economics and sport. Indicatively, politics ranks only seventh in this list.

The same survey has shown that 35 percent of the British want to have more ample knowledge about Russian culture, one third of the polled - about travels and recreation. Politics was named only by 15 percent of the respondents.

The British also seek more information about Russia's achievements in science, technology, economics and sport.
