Iran is prepared to cooperate with Georgia in the military sphere, said Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharaz at a press conference in Tbilisi on Tuesday. Kharaz arrived in Tbilisi on Tuesday for a one day visit. He said that it was necessary to create new systems of security in the Caucus region. He also said that Russia, Turkey and Iran should also participate in this process in addition to Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Kharaz said that the stability situation in the Caucus region has great meaning for Iran.
Georgian Foreign Minister Irakly Menagarishvili agreed with Kharaz. However, he also said that in order to create a regional security system it was also necessary to regulate local conflicts. Kharaz also met with Georgian President Eduard Shevarnadze. From Georgia, Kharaz leaves for Armenia.
