A delegation of American business people arrived in Belarus on Saturday, April 5 on a four-day working visit. This was announced to journalists in Minsk by Andrei Savinykh, the Belarussian Foreign Ministry's press secretary. Savinykh said that the delegation included over 20 business people, and that the visit was being made 'on the initiative of the well-known US public figure Josh McDowell.'
The programme for the visit includes participation in a Belarus-US symposium being held today in Minsk. The symposium will feature over 100 representatives of business circles, as well as Belarussian government officials. The US business people are expected to discuss issues regarding 'expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and increasing the volume of US investments in the Belarussian economy' with their Belarussian partners.
