Russian border guards transport 48 tons of wheat into Afghanistan

Russian border guards, who are stationed in Tajikistan, ferried 48 tons of wheat into neighbouring Afghanistan the other day. Such wheat is ear-marked for the northern Afghan population in line with a UN humanitarian-aid program.

Ten ferries laden with materials and equipment for building a bridge across the Pyandzh border-line river crossed into Afghanistan along a sector of the Tajik-Afghan border, which is controlled by Russian border guards, that same day.
