Anthrax Agents Found In Lithuania

Anthrax agents have been found in one of 5 mail bags sent by mail to the address of the US embassy to Lithuania, reported a microbiological laboratory in Vilnius. Laboratory chief Kazimera Rutene specified the disease's spores were found after all the correspondence had been examined. She stressed there is nothing dangerous for the embassy staff, as these parcels were passed on for examination to experts, and the rooms were disinfected. Kazimera Rutene also noted that all precautionary measures were taken for preventing the anthrax from spreading in Lithuania. Recently there appeared a mania to send by mail parcels and envelopes with suspicious powders. Some jesters have already been identified, the culprits called to administrative account.
