'Not Like Ukraine': Putin Describes How a European War Would Unfold

Putin Warns Europe: A War With Russia Would End Very Quickly

If Europe were to start a war with Russia, it would be over very quickly. This is how President Vladimir Putin described the potential course of hostilities in the region while speaking to journalists, in comments broadcast by the Kremlin's Telegram channel.

According to the Russian leader, a confrontation with European states would unfold differently than the ongoing operation in Ukraine.

“I think it would be very fast. This is not Ukraine. In Ukraine we act surgically, carefully,” he remarked.

He added that the special military operation does not constitute a full-scale war.

No One Left to Negotiate With

If Europe were to begin a war with Russia, Moscow would find itself with no one left to negotiate its conclusion. Putin made this point in comments reported by TASS.

“If Europe suddenly decides to start a war with us and begins one, it could quickly lead to a situation in which we have no one to negotiate with,” the president emphasized.

Europe Accused of Blocking Trump’s Peace Efforts

European countries, he said, are obstructing the administration of US President Donald Trump as it attempts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. These remarks were reported by RIA Novosti.

“They do not like today's results either, and they have started to interfere with the current administration of the United States and President Trump in achieving peace through negotiations. They themselves rejected peace talks, and now they are hindering President Trump,” he stated.

According to the Russian leader, all of Europe’s proposed amendments to the peace plan are aimed solely at blocking progress. He stressed that European governments have deliberately stepped away from participating in negotiations on Ukraine.

European Warnings About a Potential Conflict

In early December, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto warned that Europe is preparing for a potential military confrontation with Russia that could erupt by 2030.

Earlier, the head of NATO’s Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, said that the alliance is considering the possibility of preemptive strikes in response to what it describes as Russia’s aggressive actions.
