Putin ousts Obama from AFP's list of world's most influential politicians

Russian President Putin has entered the top three of most influential politicians in the world along with Angela Merkel and Pope Francis.

The Russian president thus continues setting the pace in international affairs, AFP reports.

After the imposition of sanctions by Western countries, Vladimir Putin became a key figure in the world to resolve the conflict in Syria.

The list of most influential politicians in the world also includes former head of FIFA Joseph Blatter and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

According to TASS, US President Barack Obama was not included on the ranking of most influential politicians.
