Referee files complaint after kick in his head

A referee filed a complaint in court Thursday against a player who punched and kicked him in the head during a German county league match.

Frank Lehmann, who was hospitalized, was allegedly attacked by Son Trinh Viet after he received a yellow card in the game between Vietnamese Chemnitz and SV IKA Chemnitz.

All matches in Chemnitz county have now been canceled this weekend.
