"There will be a surprise for everyone tonight about athletics," Russian Minister for Sport and President of the Russian Football Union Vitaly Mutko told Life.
Noteworthy, prior to the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (on Aug 5), the IOC special commission is to register Russia's final bid for participation in the Olympic Games.
For the time being, Russia has 270 athletes, but the list may expand as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has recently approved the appeal from swimmer Yulia Yefimova.
As for track-and-field, only one Russian athlete, long jumper Darya Krishna, was admitted to the Games.
