The wine-makers of Portugal withdrew 300 thousand bottles of red wine Esporao, since the bearded man, depicted on the labels, looks very much like Osama bin Laden. A spokeswoman for the firm Finagra said that the image could hurt somebody’s feelings after the terror attack on America on September 11. The company annually chooses the new label for its popular wine. The image of a man, leaning over a pillow, reading a book and drinking wine, was chosen in May of last year – before the tragic events in America happened, and before Osama bin Laden became famous. The bottles with those labels were packed in June, but their shipment was delayed. So twelve thousand bottles of wine appeared on the American market the next day after the terror attack in New York and Washington.
