Yuzhny Storms Into Australian Open Third Round
Russian tennis player Mikhail Yuzhny has stormed into the third round of the Australian Open. Yuzhny, who is seeded 25, defeated the home crowd's favorite Joseph Sirianni 6:2, 6:3, 6:3. The straight sets win took exactly two hours.
The Davis Cup hero will face seventh seed Jiri Novak from the Czech republic in the third round.
Novak recorded a hard fought victory, 7:6 (7:1), 7:6 (7:5), 4:6, 4:6, 6:3, over Belgian Olivier Rochus in his second round tie.
