Chinese boy falls 20 floors from apartment window and stays alive

A 10-year-old Chinese boy fell 20 floors from an apartment window and survived. The boy fell from the open window and landed in a car, shattering its back windscreen.

A doctor at the People's Hospital of Guizhou in southern China said he suffered skull fractures and bleeding on the brain and remains under close observation, The Press Association reports.

"Video from the building's surveillance camera showed he climbed on to the window sill about 50 cm above the floor," said an officer with the Nanming District police station.

"The window was open and it was raining outside."

The officer assumed it was an accident rather than suicide, though an investigation was still under way, according to Sify.
