American pop singer Whitney Houston is in a Paris hospital with nose and throat problems, her entourage said yesterday.
Houston, 46, cancelled the first concert of her European tour in Paris on Tuesday because of a respiratory infection, and will likely have to miss the second, scheduled for today in Manchester.
Houston, whose career peaked in the 1990s, has been dogged by ill-health as she attempts a comeback, Sydney Morning Herald says.
"Doctors visited Whitney late last night in Paris and confirmed that she was suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
"Upon medical advice Whitney has been advised that she cannot perform to allow her time to recover."
All three dates have been rescheduled.
The Glasgow show has been pushed back to Saturday May 1, while the Manchester dates will take place at the end of the tour, on Wednesday June 16 and Thursday 17, Sky News informs.
