A new film of Stanislav Govorukhin, a well known Russian producer and actor, "Blessing a Woman" will be shown on the Day of Russian Cinema - August 27 - in the Pushkinsky concert and cinema hall.
The works of Irina Grekova (the pen-name of Yelena Ventsel) were used when the film was shot.
"The film is the fate of a woman against the background of our country's history," Govorukhin told journalists. "I am sure that many spectators, and especially women, who have not seen good domestic cinema dramas for a long time, will like it," he continued.
Well-known actors Inna Churikova, Irina Kupchenko, Alexander Mikhailov and Alexander Baluyev starred in the film.
The Moscow government and the cinematography service at the ministry of culture helped Govorukhin to shoot his premiere which opens the show of films devoted to the 60th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War against German fascism.
First deputy culture minister Alexander Golutva told the press that 90 copies of the new film were made. It will be shown simultaneously in 25 Moscow cinema halls and in 50 Russian cities and towns.
