It is for the first time since the re-establishment of Lithuania's independence in 1990 that a Lithuanian cultural festival will be held in Moscow on April 22-24.
According to the Vilnius municipality, Muscovites will see performances of the Lithuanian national theatre starring actors who have been famous in Russia since the Soviet times, film shows and an exhibition by the founder of modern Lithuanian painting, Micalojus Ciurlenis. Lithuanian pop groups are also to perform.
