Chances for giant asteroid to ram into Earth in 2032 are 1 in 63,000

In 2032, a 400-meter asteroid will near the Earth. The asteroid may cause a global catastrophe.

The wandering celestial body was discovered on October 12 by astronomers of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory, who code-named the asteroid 2013 TV135. Afterwards, the discovery was confirmed by Russian observatories Ka -Dar and Master in Buryatia, as well as by astronomers from Italy, Britain and Spain.

The asteroid was attributed to a class of potentially dangerous asteroids, as the minimum distance between its orbit and the orbit of the Earth is 0.012 AU ( 1.7 million kilometers).

The asteroid will reach the closest distance to the Earth on August 26, 2032. Chances of the collision with the planet is 1 in 63 000.
