A famous American film director and actor, Spike Lee, has cooperated with Nokia to create a movie made with cell phone footage from everyday life.
The film will tell the story of humanity in three acts. An "assignment" for each act will appear online and people will then have four weeks to offer their ideas.
People can submit text, music, video or images at certain times between now and August 21.
Nokia will choose 25 submissions, people will then vote online for a top 10. Later on Spike Lee will choose the winning submission from each act.
The final film will be released later this year in Los Angeles.
Lee has Emmy and Academy Awards. He is noted for his films dealing with controversial social and political issues. He teaches film at New York University and Columbia University. His production company, 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks, has produced over 35 films since 1983.
