YUKOS has already paid RUR75bn (about USD2.58bn) of overall RUR99.4bn (about USD3.4bn) in overdue taxes for 2000, Russian Deputy Chief Bailiff Alexander Belyakov announced. According to him, bailiffs have not received a report from the international investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, which has assessed shares in YUKOS' major oil producing subsidiary Yuganskneftegaz. Thus he denied talks about the end of the assessment as certain mass media sources released information that Yuganskneftegaz was assessed at $15bn-$17bn. The report was to be submitted to bailiffs on September 14, he stressed. When it will be ready depends only on Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Belyakov emphasized.
