Aircraft producer works out strategic plan through 2013

The scientific and industrial corporation Irkut is going to step up revenues to $1.6bn by the year 2013, which will be three times as much as in 2002, according to the company's strategic plan through 2013. Under the plan, among Irkut's strategic objectives are the product line diversification, the development of licensing production, the upgrading of the range of military equipment as well as the diversification of marketing outlets and international cooperation. Additionally, the corporation's strategic development envisages enhancing its research and production potentials and creating a large chain of after-sale service centers.

Irkut specializes in producing civil and military aircraft, including Su fighters.
