Physicians here are recommending that people give themselves flu shots now. Rosbalt learned this from the press service of the Moscow city government. It recommended that people give themselves the flu shot using any of these vaccines: the French product Vaksigrippe, (approximately, USD 13), the Dutch product Influvak (approximately USD 11), the German product Begrivak (approximately USD 13) or the Russian product Grippol (approximately USD 6). All the products, despite the variation in prices, are essentially the same.
Shots are the only way to reduce one's risk of grippe by 75%-80%. The only contra-indication to their use is allergic sensitivity to white of chicken eggs (the base on which the flu strain is grown).
