A visa regime between Russia and Poland will be introduced on October 1, 2003.
"The agreement provides for issuing visas (including multiple ones) within five days after the application and the necessary documents are filed," the Russian Foreign Ministry Department of Information and Press officials pointed out.
Visas will be issued free of charge to people under 16 and above 70 years of age, disabled persons, people visiting graves of their close relations or going to Poland in connection with the death or grave disease of their relatives.
Persons participating in bilateral educational, cultural, science-technological or sports events can also obtain visas free of charge, along with Russians and Poles travelling between the two countries in the framework of inter-regional or trans-border co-operation.
