The Russian Finance Ministry is going to make an advance payment to clear off some of Russia's debt to the International Monetary Fund.
The payment amounting to 28.848 million dollars was initially scheduled for early August.
According to the schedule, the next payment amounting to 82.611 million dollars will be effected on Tuesday, July 29.
As of January 1, 2003, Russia's debt to the IMF totaled 6.4 billion dollars. Russia intends to pay off 2.1 billion dollars by the end of the year.
