Russia's Health Ministry has cancelled its earlier recommendation that Russians do not travel abroad because of the SARS threat, the Russian State Sanitary and Epidemiological Inspectorate reported Saturday.
The health officials explained that a stable decreasing trend of SARS rate has continued through the most part of June.
There have been no new SARS cases in China since June 11, in Singapore, since May 20. The daily increase in the number of such cases in the world has dropped to 2 as of June 19 from 28 as of June 1.
Given the current epidemiological situation in the Southeast Asian countries and the stabilisation of the SARS rate, the Health Ministry has informed the Foreign Ministry as well as other ministries and departments that their employees can safely travel to take part in international events," the Sanitary Inspectorate spokesperson added.
