Russian President Vladimir Putin has pointed out that part of Russian society has no means to participate in the country's cultural life. This mostly goes for the young people, he said.
"Artistic education, something that was traditionally strong in this country, is practically absent today," he stated, addressing a mobile session of the Russian State Council in St. Petersburg on Monday. The session is dedicated to cultural issues.
He also said it was necessary to pay close attention to the humanitarian part of education and elucidation.
