As part of the exhibition 'St. Petersburg. 300 years as the Glory of Russia' in the Mikhailovsky manege a presentation by the center for development of business contacts in St. Petersburg and Finland Bizkon will be organized on May 25. According to Rosbalt the main program and summary of work will be presented by the director of the center Alexey Varshavsky and Finnish directors. After the official presentation guests can see a multi-media presentation of Finland and taste traditionally prepared Finnish salmon.
The Bizkon center located in the Finnish city of Kotka was the first official St. Petersburg center of business contacts, organized by the committee for external contacts. In September 2001 a branch of Bizkon was opened in Turka. Over 100 St. Petersburg companies participate in the center. At the present time, three different Russo-Finnish work groups have been created and are active in the following areas: non-traditional energy, shipbuilding, shipping and ecology and building and reconstruction.
