The head of the Palestinian National Authority, Yasser Arafat, expressed deep gratitude for a message from the leader of the Communist Party (CPRF), Gennady Zyuganov, which "expresses solidarity with the Palestinian people who, remaining in most difficult conditions, have to withstand a cruel bloody aggression." Arafat says the above in his letter to Zyuganov, which RIA Novosti received Tuesday from the press service of the CPRF parliamentary faction. "We highly appreciate your principled and friendly position with regard to the Palestinian people and the Palestinian issue as a whole and concerning the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. We value your invariable support and resolute, your stern condemnation of Israel's policy and your demand of an immediate end to its cruel aggression against the Palestinian people," the letter says. Arafat's letter underscores that the Palestinians hope for further support and solidarity of Russia's Communist Party, on its condemnation of the policy pursued by the Israeli governments, especially by the incumbent government, on its exposure of their criminal haughtiness and violations of human rights in Palestine, as well as of all international treaties and agreements, thereby undermining the foundation of the international law and the international humanitarian law," the letter points out.
