Units of the Ministry for Emergency Situations exert control over the flood situation in Russia, the ministry press service reported. Flood waters inundated 475 dwelling houses in 15 settlements, submerged 7 motor-car bridges and 1.3 kilometres of roads, eroded 2 dams. The inundation of settlements took place in Vladimir, Tver (European regions), Kurgan and Tyumen regions (Siberia), and in Altai Territory. According to the short-term forecast, water level is expected to further rise in the Volga, as well as other major rivers of the Urals, Siberia and Far East.
