Vladimir Putin insists on speeding up the adoption of laws related to privatization and delimitation of state land property. According to presidential press secretary Alexei Gromov, Putin held a working meeting with Property Minister Farit Gazizullin in the Kremlin on Friday, where he "pointed out the transparency and open character of privatization procedures and the fact that small and medium-sized businesses have more opportunities to contribute to them." Having discussed privatization projects adopted by the government for the first half of the year with Gazizullin, the president instructed the minister to draw up a similar list for the second half of the year. The discussion also focused on the situation with Irkutskenergo and on the Supreme Arbitration Court's decision to acknowledge 40% of the company's shares as federal property. In this connection, the president stressed that it was essential to observe the interests of the state. Another topic that surfaced during the conversation was updating of the federal law of delimitation of state landed property, which was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading. Putin instructed the minister to speed up the adoption of the law as a top priority document.
