An Ikarus coach collided with a lorry carrying diesel fuel on the Moscow highway at 6 p.m. yesterday. The coach’s driver must have lost control and got to the oncoming traffic. 26 people were in the coach which was making a commercial run. Most of the businessmen were already sleeping at the moment of the catastrophe. As a result of the collision, seven people were killed. Fourteen injured passengers were hospitalized, according to RBC. Five of them are in intensive care. The lorry’s driver was also taken to hospital. The cause for the accident is thought to be a failure in the coach’s steering gear. As a result, the coach lost control, got to the oncoming traffic and cut in front of the lorry, but only a thorough investigation that will determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
