Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Rushailo and U.S. FBI Director Louis Freeh spoke by phone Tuesday to consider prospects for joint efforts against transnational crime, as well as Freeh's offer of FBI assistance in investigating the Monday explosion in a Moscow metro station, the Interior Ministry press office reported. Rushailo and Freeh mutually condemned all forms of terrorism and expressed their readiness to step up joint efforts to prevent attempts to provide assistance to terrorists, Interfax announces. They also talked about a joint coordinating team for combating international crime and agreed its first meeting should be soon.
