A smoke-filled charter plane with 229 passengers aboard made an emergency landing in southwestern Sweden on Friday, officials said. No injuries were reported. The Brittania Airways flight landed safely at the Landvetter airfield outside Goteborg, Associated Press reports. The plane was en route from Stockholm to Malaga, Spain, and the passengers are said to have been all Swedish. The Boeing 757 was about 30 minutes into its flight when smoke was detected in the rear and the pilot decided to land. Goteborg is 300 miles southwest of the capital, Stockholm.
