Prices for grain in Russia may see a significant increase at the beginning of the coming year, experts with leading Russian grain trading companies are predicting. "Prices for fodder grain are likely to jump in January and at the beginning of February, and those for food grain in March and April, First Vice President of the company 'Roskhleboprodukt' Alexander Kudelya, said in an interview published by Interfax and cited by Russia Journal. Kudelya said the price increases will be due to "a depletion of resources and the fact that additional spending on storing and crediting will be factored into the prices." The price for grain is likely to reach or even top $145 per ton, he said.
