Two Metal Giants Set Up Non-Commercial Partnership

Today chiefs of the Novolipetsk Metal Works and the Nizhny Tagil Metal Works signed an agreement on the establishment and operation of the non-commercial partnership Consortium Russkaya Stal. According to the press service of the Sverdlovsk Governor, the main objective of this new venture is to work out rules and measures for civilized operations on the Russian iron and steel market. Russkaya Stal will prepare the rules for interaction with other metal companies, state and municipal bodies and the public. Additionally, it will represent professional interests of the partnership and its members at state and other bodies and organizations, coordinate social and personnel policies of the partnership members, study the iron and steel market, provide its economic analysis and forecasts. Speaking at the signing ceremony, the heads of two metal giants said that Russkaya Stal was open for everyone who shared the aims and goals of this partnership.
