Vladimir Putin spoke in favour of constructive cooperation between the Russian judicial system and the European Human Rights Court. While meeting with representatives of the constitutional courts of foreign countries in the Kremlin on Thursday the Russian leader stressed that Russia did not view the European Human Rights Court as a rival to the Russian judicial system. On the contrary, "in the present-day world, in the present-day Russia taking into account its integration into the world community, it is a major constituent part of the system European values", Putin said According to him, Russia hopes "for constructive work" with the European Human Rights Court, that separate flaws of the Russian judicial system will be identified tactfully and professionally". Those flaws will subsequently be eliminated in Russia and this will do good to the country, Vladimir Putin said.
