Russia and the European Union will hold talks on issues of trade in metallurgic products next week in Moscow, a source in the European commission reported. According to the source, the EU delegation is to arrive in Moscow Monday night and the talks will be held on Tuesday, November 6, in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. The talks will focus on the state and prospects for mutual trade in steel market. Moreover, the sides are expected to discuss preparation of a new agreement on steel trade between Russia and the EU since the term of the current agreement expires December 31, 2001. The agreement was concluded in 1997 between Russia and the European Association of Coal and Steel.
