On November 10, Anri Dzhergeniya, Prime Minister of Abkhazia (a self-proclaimed republic in Georgia), arrives in Russia to hold consultations with Russian Foreign Ministry officials. Negotiations within the framework of Russia's mediation in the settlement of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict will start on Monday. Such meetings are rather regular. Dzhergeniya is expected to meet Russian Foreign Ministry officials in charge of the Georgian-Abkhazian problem. The sides will discuss the conflict settlement and humanitarian problems. In addition, they will discuss the latest developments in the Kodori gorge where Abkhaz Interior Ministry forces keep running operations against Chechen separatist groups who had attempted to break through to Russia from Georgia.
