A reception in honour of St. Petersburg's 300th anniversary will be held in Cannes during the MIPIM 2003 real estate exhibition, which will take place between March 4 and 7. Invitations to the reception will be sent out to representatives of Europe's most important cities.
Alexander Vakhmistrov, the head of the city administration's building committee, told journalists today that St. Petersburg will be taking part in the festival for the sixth time. St. Petersburg's stand will feature a range of projects including the port development project, the ring road project, the NOVA PARK industrial and technological park, the Novaya Okhta office and hotel complex, the Vladimirsky Passazh hotel and retail complex, and the Sennaya Ploshchad retail complex. St. Petersburg's stand has increased in size since last year and will cover 125.4 square metres.
The exhibition is planned to include a round-table conference on 'Investment opportunities in St. Petersburg', where speakers will talk in detail about current Russian legislation, in particular about the Land Code and legal specifics of the city's investment and construction code. A range of talks, including meetings with representatives from Monaco and the French Chamber of Trade and Industry, are also planned.
