Rosaviakosmos seeks financial aid from NASA

NASA currently has no possibility to fulfill the Russian Space and Aviation Agency's (Rosaviakosmos) request about financing additional launches of Russian spacecraft to the international space station, General Director of Rosaviakosmos Yury Koptev said at a press conference today. The official was quoted as saying if the US declines to finance additional Russian spacecraft launches to the international space station, Rosaviakosmos will apply for help to the European Space Agency (ESA). If the European institution provides the required support, Rosaviakosmos will include a European astronaut with the crew that will fly to the international space station.
