The State Duma Council decided to postpone the consideration of a package of bills on electrical energy reforms until February 2003, State Duma Speaker Gennady Seleznyov told journalists after a meeting of the Council.
The Speaker of the lower house of parliament noted that the bills would not be considered until all amendments to bills on the RAO UES reforms, submitted by the government and centrist factions to the Duma, were discussed.
At the same time, according to Deputy Speaker Irina Khakamada, bills on reforms in the Russian national energy grid RAO UES could be considered on February 4 or 5, 2003.
