The first session of the bilateral commission to prepare the constitutional act of the Russia-Belarus Union has been held in Moscow. The commission has decided to set up groups of experts to prepare the document.
The draft fundamental act of the Russia-Belarus Union has been developed in the main and causes no principled differences of the sides, said a member of the commission. The document has only to be adjusted with account for the submitted proposals and notes, he said.
Speakers Gennadi Seleznev and Vladimir Popov of the lower chambers of the Russian and Belarussian parliaments head the commission.
The next session is scheduled for February 3.
