Gazprom reports on situation with gas supplies to South Caucasus

Natural gas supplies from the North Caucasus to the South Caucasus are made in the same volumes via a parallel pipeline after the backbone pipeline was damaged by a blast yesterday, a source in Russia's gas giant Gazprom reported to RBC. According to the company's representative, the damaged part of the pipeline was isolated and repairs continue there. The source noted it was hard to tell when this part of the pipeline would be repaired and put into operation again. Workers have to restore 10 meters of the damaged pipeline to restore gas supplies to Georgia via the major pipeline.

Gazprom's representative did not confirm information about a reduction in natural gas supplies to Armenia due to the pipeline break.
