The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will continue active collaboration with the Russian government and private organizations in this country in 2003, EBRD Vice President Noreen Doyle told journalists today. She recalled that the EBRD allocated a total of $1bn to Russia this year, including about $500m provided to the Russian government for financing infrastructure projects, construction of communications, water purification and other facilities.
The EBRD official stated that this bank had strong partner relations with the Russian government. She also reported that the volume of EBRD's financial allocations for projects in Russia would reach $1bn in 2003 as well.
