The volume of value-added tax refunds to exporters amounted to more than 182bn rubles ($5.71bn) in the period from January to October 2002, the press service of the Russian Tax Ministry reported. This sum is 16.1 percent of the total volume of tax revenues to the federal budget.
The amount of value-added taxes that were collected to the federal budget was 48.6bn rubles ($1.53bn) in October 2002 and 436.8bn rubles ($13.7bn) in the first ten months of this year, which was 20.6 percent higher than in the corresponding period of last year.
