Russian President Vladimir Putin will announce his vision of financial problems in Russia during a large press conference on December 18th. Putin does not plan to release specific comments regarding the subject, Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov said, the Kommersant reports.
Peskov also noted that the conference would be conducted in a routine way.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev conducted an emergency meeting to discuss the currency crisis in Russia on December 16 at night. Together with colleagues, Medvedev decided not to impose currency controls. He also promised that financial regulators wold receive more currency from the Central Bank.
