The explosion threat in the Georgian TV building was a false alarm, the Georgian interior ministry's press service told RIA.
The country's law-enforcement bodies have launched a criminal case on the "sabotage" article.
At 23.45, Moscow time, an unknown person reported an explosion device was placed in the building, which should have gone off at 00.00, Moscow time.
A special detachment of the Georgian state security ministry began inspecting the building, and the staff were evacuated.
On Wednesday evening an unidentified device exploded at the entrance to the building. All the panes were smashed, and several TV studios destroyed. Nobody suffered.
"Unfortunately, information to the effect that attempts may be made any time soon to physically remove political leaders, heads of media holdings and businessmen is being confirmed," said official representative of the Georgian state security ministry Nikolai Laliashvili. According to him, to prevent these threats the ministry is going to work in the emergency regime.
