Methane explosion in Kuzbass mine kills one man

Methane exploded in a mine of the Kuznetsk coal basin, Kemerovo region, Eastern Siberia, the main coal-producing Russian region, killing a 37-year old miner.

The explosion took place on Wednesday evening in the Oktyabrskaya mine, the town of Polysayevo, in the old gallery where coal was no longer extracted.
