Son of Chechen mufti and head of elders' council killed in Chechnya

Said-Ibragim, the son of Chechen mufty Akhemd-khadzhi Shamayev, and Alavdi Alsabayev, the head of the council of elders, have been killed in Chechnya's Shatoi district, the Chechen Interior Ministry reported over the phone.

According to preliminary data, Alsabayev was killed in the village of Vashin-Daroi and the mufti's son - near the district centre of Shatoi.
