In the morning today Pavel Borodin was delivered from New York to Geneva and placed in the pre-trial detention prison, reports the Swiss ATS agency citing his Geneva lawyer, Vincent Solary.
However, the Russian embassy and consulate have no information to this effect yet.
Within the day, Pavel Borodin, former administrator of Boris Yeltsin and current State Secretary of the Union of Russia and Belarus, will face his investigator, who will inform Borodin of charges made against him. The Swiss prosecutors accuse Borodin of laundering money and violating several Swiss laws at the time he still worked in the Kremlin. But the Russian prosecutor's office has no complaints to Borodin.
Pavel Borodin will be shown the warrant on his pre-trial detention for the duration of the investigation, which is valid for eight days.
