The head of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), Vasily Gritsak, said that Russia could be involved in a series of explosions at the international airport and several metro stations in the Belgian capital Brussels.
"You probably already know that there were two explosions in Brussels today, in which 12 people were killed, according to preliminary data. I would not be surprised if that is a part of Russia's hybrid war, although they will refer to the Islamic State," Gritsak said.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev responded to the statement from the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, who publicly assumed that Russia could be involved in the terrorist attacks in Brussels. Dmitry Medvedev called Vasily Gritsak a "jerk."
"The chief of the Ukrainian Security Service Gritsak, who said that Russia could be involved in the terrorist acts in Brussels, is a jerk," Medvedev commented on his own post on Facebook, in which he expressed condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the Brussels bombings.
