Airbus A320 of Germanwings crashes above Alps in France, over 150 killed

Airbus A320 passenger aircraft en route from Barcelona, Spain, to Dusseldorf, Germany, crashed above the Alps.

On board the plane of Germanwings airline there were 142 passengers and 8 crew members.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls confirmed the crash of Airbus A320 in the area of ​​Digne-les-Bains, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. 

According to officials, there is no hope to find survivors in the crash.

On board the plane there were mostly German citizens. However, this information is to be specified, Pravda.Ru reports. 

At the same time, officials at the Russian Consulate General in Bonn said that there is no information as to whether there were Russian citizens on board the crashed A320. 

French President Francois Hollande declared his intention to hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and King Felipe VI of Spain about the tragedy in the south of France.
